QUALITY IMPROVEMENT TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES Selection Grid 1 Definition : A grid designed to help teams select an option out of several possibilities.     Purpose : This technique draws a team toward consensus in a logical, objective way.     Procedure : Start with a list of options. Choose the criteria, the scoring system, and the desired score. Draw the grid with the criteria and scoring across the top and the list of options down the left side. Consider each option in relation to the criteria and write the score on the grid. When the grid is completed, evaluate the findings. Determine whether other criteria, or an adjustment in the existing criteria, are necessary. Select the best option.
