Primary Care Public Health Nursing Service

Scope of Public Health Nursing Services Family Health Service Maternal & Child Health Service l              Implement an integrated child health and development programme to promote the holistic (physical, cognitive, emotional and social) health and wellbeing of children under 6 years old.  Services include health and developmental surveillance, immunization, parenting, breastfeeding counseling and child care; l              Provide antenatal and postnatal care, and family planning service; l              Provide woman health service and cervical screening service to women aged 25 & above; l              Plan, implement and evaluate health education and health promotion activities; l              Conduct related researches.   Woman Health Service l             A comprehensive health promotion and disease prevention programme is offered to all women at or below 64 years of age to cater for their changing needs in different life stages, through conducting: -      health assessments and providing appropriate screening tests; -      health education and health promotion activities by provision of accurate and updated information to help them prevent potential health problems through adopting healthy lifestyles.
