About Us

The Professional Development and Quality Assurance (PD&QA) of the Department of Health comprises five clinics: the Ngau Tau Kok Centre, Chai Wan Families Clinic, Hong Kong Families Clinic, Kowloon Families Clinic and New Territories Families Clinic. Our mission is to provide quality assured personal health services and supports the practice of professional development and quality assurance activities within Department of Health and primary health care. We are a group of family physicians, nurses and healthcare personnel with interest in professional development and quality assurance activities. We strive to provide and support quality assured personal health services. Objectives 1. To organize relevant professional development programs for healthcare service providers. 2. To support the development of quality assurance activities and clinical audit. 3. To provide quality primary care services to civil servants, their dependants and the pensioners. 4. To support and implement health promotion plan of the department. 5. To establish an electronic web-based platform to facilitate evidence-based medicine practice. 6. To conduct studies relevant to primary health care.
