Clinical Genetic Service

l             Participate in the genetic neonatal screening for newborns;

l             Assist in the early identification of 'at risk' cases and initiate prompt remedial action so as to reduce the chance of any possible permanent disabilities;

l             Provide individual counseling and health education to parents with children suffering from congenital hypothyroidism or Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency;

l             Participate in genetic counseling and genetic research studies.
